Synchronicity
A synchronicity is defined as “the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.” Many people believe that these coincidences are actually not coincidences. People notice these parallel events and think the “universe” is sending them a message. The message is, of course, unclear. Perhaps people think they are being told that all things are connected, or that they are connected to another person in a deeply spiritual way. I would argue that these events are, in fact, not coincidence but that they are engineered by bad spirits as part of the grooming process.
Here is an example of one of the first synchronous events that I noticed in my own life. I was reading a nonfiction book about angels, and the author was telling a story where the number 333 became significant to her. She became convinced that angels were sending her a message with this number. I immediately had the urge to look at the clock, and it was 3:33. I don’t believe these synchronicities are coincidence. These types of “coincidences” can be orchestrated by bad spirits. Why would they bother doing this? I think it’s a simple tool that they can use to get our attention in a seemingly harmless way.
Numbers are often used by the demons for this purpose. Many people believe that their spirit guides and angels are sending messages to them through numbers. One number that you might have heard about having some type of spiritual significance is 11:11. If you Google this number, people all over the Internet will be saying things like, “It seems like every time I look at the clock it says 11:11”; “If you see 11:11 repeatedly, your angels are telling you that you are ready for the next step spiritually,” etc.
Spirits can put the thought in your head to look at the clock at certain times, so perhaps you aren’t just imagining the frequency of certain numbers appearing in your life. You might see the number on the license plate of the car in front of you, or on your receipt at the grocery store. 11:11 is certainly not the only number that people take notice of; almost any number is reported to have some supposed meaning or significance. This is, after all, the basic idea behind numerology. Noticing these numbers is not in and of itself harmful, but when we seek out the “meanings” of numbers, or start looking for patterns or messages, we open ourselves up to manipulation by the spirit world. I do believe that numbers are being used by the devil as bait. He fishes for us in this way, hoping to get our attention and lure us down his path with seemingly harmless activities.
Another method used by spirit to catch our attention is through animals. A surprising number of people—even very well-educated people—believe that animals can be used to send messages from spirit. They think these messages might be from God, or from deceased loved ones. In fact, animals can be easily manipulated by demons. Perhaps you become convinced that the butterfly that keeps landing on your arm in the garden indicates the presence of a loved one. Or maybe you ask for a message from your grandmother and an hour later a huge hawk flies in front of your car; you might be tempted to think that your prayer has been answered. As mentioned, asking for signs and messages is a mistake. No doubt, these occurrences of events are not coincidence; such things can easily be orchestrated by bad spirits.
